is meant to be a counterpoint to women’s advice literature that tends to focus on getting ahead and achieving the corner office. Of course, I’m all for more women getting more corner offices, and we need that progress.
But this message is broader. It’s about empowering yourself while empowering others, and leading with pro-social, progressive values, with or without a title, at any career stage. Collecting the stories for this book was such a rich and rewarding experience. As a result, readers will find the wisdom of four generations in the workplace, some historical context (since that’s what I do), and empowering messages."
